Mary (Piekacz) Baker, 95, of Plains, died Thursday in the Hampton House Nursing Home, San Souci Parkway, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Washington, Pa., on Aug. 5, 1900, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Valeria Schultz.

She was educated in the Washington public school system.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Plains.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Baker, on Aug. 24, 1953; daughters, Genevieve Baker and Mrs. Margie Majcher; sons, Anthony and Walter; sisters, Mrs. Anna Kirtz and Mrs. Edna Freno; brothers, Steve, Max, Anthony and Walter.

Surviving are sons, Al, Washington; Fred, Georgetown, Calif.; daughter, Mrs. Louise Moczulski, Plains; brother, Edward Randolph, Washington; sisters, Mrs. Lena Schrum, Mrs. Violet D'Alessandro, of Washington; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the William J. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with the Rev. Kevin McKnight, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Washington.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will begin at 8:30 p.m.

Local arrangements are by the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home Inc., 136 Maffett St., Plains.
