Melvin Dean Spake, 76, of Burkburnett, died Saturday, January 5, 2013.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett with Jay Driskill officiating . Interment will follow at Burkburnett Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
A son of the late Delpha (Pickering) and Merle Spake, Melvin was born June 6, 1936, in Vici, Oklahoma. He was a Civil Service fabric worker prior to his retirement in 1988. He was a loving husband and father.
Melvin was also preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Perez and a brother, Carol Gene Spake. He is survived by his wife, Martha "Marty" Spake of Burkburnett; sons, Brad Spake of Abilene, Danny Spake and wife, Susan of Wichita Falls, Greg Spake and wife, Lana of Temple, Oklahoma; sister, Wanda Nachtwey of Papilo, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
