DAVENPORT - Services for O. Lorraine Moorman, of Davenport, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Runge Mortuary and Crematory, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Mrs. Moorman died Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. She was employed 30 years as a nurse's aide at the former St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport. She retired in 1991. Lorraine Winters was born March 23, 1932, in Cantril, Iowa, to James and Emma Mae (Garrett) Winters. She married Richard Moorman on May 15, 1954, in Kahoka, Mo. He died in 1986. She was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, East Davenport Turners and several square dancing and ballroom dancing clubs. She enjoyed camping, various crafts, playing cards and watching her sons race stock cars. Above all else she loved spending time with her family. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association. Survivors include daughters, Linda Shippey, Pasadena, Texas, Teresa Archibald, Davenport, and Anita Mallette, Davenport; sons, Douglas Moorman, Davenport, and Milton Moorman, Davenport; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Wood, McAllen, Texas; sisters-in-law, Beverly Winters, Colona, Ill., Elda Moorman, Neuma, Iowa, Mary Ellen Anderson, Newton, Iowa, Betty Reynolds, Burlington, Iowa, and Shirley Moorman, Davenport; a niece, Louise House, Keosaqua, Iowa; and a special friend, Charles Everman, Bettendorf. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, a niece and a nephew.
