RALEIGH, N.C. - Ruth Sims Lynch Cole, 87, of Raleigh, N.C., died Nov. 3, 2004 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. She was born in Danville, Va., the daughter of Callie Reid Sims Strader and Dixon M. Sims.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah L. Wilson (Michael); a granddaughter, Susan W. Boydoh; a stepdaughter, Nettie B. Harrell. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Johnson L. Lynch and Robert H. Cole and daughter, Marion R. Lynch.
Ruth was employed as a nurse. She received her nursing education at Danville Memorial Hospital and the University of Virginia. After college she remained at the University of Virginia hospital until her move to Raleigh, where she continued her nursing career at Raleigh Community Hospital.
Burial will be at Schoolfield Cemetery in Danville.
