Frank L. Chávez, age 76, a resident of Bariales, NM passed away peacefully at his home with family on Thursday, January 3, 2013.
Frank was an equipment operator for Socorro County and enjoyed the outdoors, and having matanzas with family and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, José C. Armijo and Ramona Chávez, brothers, Emilio Chávez and his wife, Rita, Juan Chávez and Gregorio Chávez, sister, Victoria Barela and her husband, Mariano, brother-in-law, Roger Jacks, sister-in-law, Priscilla Chávez, niece, Cindy Habernal and nephew, Kenny Chávez. Frank is survived by his daughter, Theresa Armijo, son-in-law, Mario Armijo and granddaughter, Emily Armijo. Frank is also survived by his brothers, Nestor Chávez and Gene Chávez, sister-in-law, Virginia Chávez, sisters, Ramona Jacks and Martina Brown, brother-in-law, Charles Brown and many loving nieces and nephews.
All services will be held at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Abeytas on Monday, January 7, 2013 beginning with a visitation at 12:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 12:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the San Antonio Catholic Cemetery.
