BIO:SUSANNAH BADGER:
Susan, as she was called, was the seventh child of Susan (Shively) Badger and Robert Badger, III, who had eleven children. She was born December 9, 1846, some where in Pennsylvania. She married David Bower July 07, 1867, at Lena, Illinois at the home of her parents. They first lived in the Lena, Illinois area till February 1870 when they along with Susan's parents and others of her brothers and sisters and their families moved to Adel, Iowa.
Within two years we find Susan and David moving back to the Lena, Illinois area. This would have been around 1872. Then again in the spring of 1883 Susan and David are on the move, back to Adel, Iowa area. After two years in Adel the Bower family moved in the spring of 1885 to the Great Bend, Kansas area. Here they would stay till, 1891 when they moved to McPherson, Kansas so there children would be closer to the McPherson College.
Susannah (Badger) Bower and David bower were the parents of six children, five girls and one boy. Susan passed away November 20, 1893, with a rather short live span of only, 46 years, 11 months, and 11 days. She is buried beside her husband David, in the McPherson, Kansas Cemetery, location is Block 17, Lot number 2, space number 4 and 5.
