Ethel H. Cobb , 87, formerly of 17141 County Route 91, died Thursday morning at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, where she had been a resident since March 2004.
Mrs. Cobb was a homemaker.
Born June 30, 1919, in Adams, daughter of Myron and Lillian Waite Johnson, she attended schools in Southern Jefferson County.
She married Scott M. Cobb on Oct. 12, 1937, in Pierrepont Manor, where they resided their entire married life. Mr. Cobb died Aug. 31, 2003.
She enjoyed playing bingo and watching baseball and basketball on television, and while she was at Samaritan Keep Home, she joined its Red Hat Society.
Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Judy and Steven Hazelton, Woodville; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Lawrence R., Cape Vincent, James E., Mannsville, Jerry L. and Anita, Pierrepont Manor, and Gary M., North Syracuse ; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A brother, Gordon Johnson, a sister, Dorothy Fuller, and three grandchildren died before her.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Smithville Cemetery with the Rev. Ronald L. Pickett, pastor of Grace Wesleyan Church, Watertown, officiating.
