AUTO ACCIDENT TAKES LORENE BECKERDITE'S LIFE
Sunday afternoon about 4:31 clock on Hwy 466, 1 mile east of Boron en route to Mojave, the O'Donnell Funeral Home ambulance, driven by Ernest Beckerdite, struck a soft spot on the road and spun around several times, the right door coming open nd throwing Mrs. Katherin Jacoby clear who suffered painful injuries which will necessitate a four to six weeks stay in the hospital. The car then over turned pinning Mrs. Lorene Fay Beckerdite 17, wife of the driver beneath it who suffered fatal injuries, while Mr. Beckerdite received bruises and an injured finger.
The party had gone to Boron to pick up the Jacoby's little boy Charlie, who had been visiting there. The funeral will be held today (Thursday) at Community Church and interrment will be in Mojave cemetery.
Mrs. Beckerdite is survived by her husband, Ernest, father Ralph Estabrook, mother Mrs Roberta Cain, sister, Mrs. Waneta Eby, sister Mrs. Wayne Silney both of Normal, Ill., brother Loren Estabrook, two other brothers Ralph and Arron Estabrook now in the U. S. Navy.
