Sara Joanne Strasburg, 86, passed away on December 30, 2012 in Sandy, Utah. She was born on April 1, 1926 in Vernal, Utah to Lawrence Henson and Sara Ellen Hatch West. Joanne married Eugene Strasburg on October 25, 1942 in Lehi, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Joanne was a beautician in Midvale for many years. She was a good wife and mother. Joanne loved to camp, fish and spend time with her family and dogs. Survived by her husband of 70 years, Eugene; children, Kenneth (Hope) Strasburg, Larry (Janice) Strasburg, Nyle (Stephanie) Strasburg, Robyn (Brad) Anderson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at the East Midvale 1st Ward, 7570 South 240 East. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street and 1 hour prior to the services, at the church. Interment, Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
