DAVENPORT - Susan M. Hartog, a resident of Davenport, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001 at her home of natural causes. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at McGinnis, Chambers & Sass Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. She was born Aug. 25, 1956 in Winter Haven, Florida, the daughter of Robert L. and Gloria M. (Gapinski) Hartog and was a graduate of Davenport West High School. Susan was employed in the mailroom of the Midland Press Co., Davenport, for the past 13 years. Among the things she enjoyed were collecting Garfield memorabilia, watching movies and an occasional visit to the Rhythm City Riverboat. Those left to honor her memory include her father, Robert, Davenport; her brother, Robert L. Hartog Jr., Davenport; her nephew, Heath Hartog, Davenport; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Dec. 22, 1993.
