Louis Boyd Ellison, age 82, of Gainesville, Missouri, "Boyd" as he was known, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was born November 2, 1930, at Howard's Ridge, Missouri, to Dewey Carl and Ruby Elsie Baxter Ellison. On May 15, 1954, he married Julia Frances Eskina in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and was a retired iron worker and farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors are his wife: Julia Ellison: of the home; two sons: Mark (Shanna) Ellison: Centerview, Missouri; Ron (Lisa) Ellison: Gainesville, Missouri; four daughters: Linda (Alva) Hannaford: Ava, Missouri; Janice (Doyle) Hall: Yellville, Arkansas; Susan (Jake) Seiler: Cape Fair, Missouri; Sharon (Kevin) Seay: Kirbyville, Missouri; a brother: Tommy (Martha) Ellison; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Augie, and one sister: Ola Bell Head.
Visitation with the family receiving friends will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. A Memorial Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Stan Swiderski as celebrant. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Howard's Ridge Cemetery Fund or a charity of choice.
