Nancy Eileen Feist, 76, of Montoursville, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Williamsport, the daughter of Burton D. and Eileen M. McNamara Shipman.

Nancy was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Montoursville. She was an avid reader, animal lover, music lover, a sports enthusiast, enjoyed scenic drives and was a supporter of local libraries.

She is survived by her husband, G. Larue "Lou" Feist, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage; her sons, Timothy L. (Cindy) Feist of Salisbury, Md., Daniel G. (Susan) of Los Angeles, Calif., and Brendan J. Feist of Horseheads, N.Y. She is also survived by a brother, Dr. Neil J. (Linda) Shipman of N.C., and four grandchildren, Devin, Jocelyn, Jacob and Victoria.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut St., Montoursville, with the Rev. John K. Manno as celebrant. Friends will be received following the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the W.B. Konkle Library, 384 Broad St., Montoursville, Pa.

Arrangements are by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
