Edgar J. Hall graduated from the commercial and law departments of Valparaiso University in 1902. On July 1, 1916, he married Grace Hubbell in Lake County, Indiana. For thirty-five years, he worked in the steel mills in Gary. He was a member of the City Methodist Church and the Roosevelt Lodge, A. F. and A. M., of Gary.
