DEATH TAKES MRS. RUTZ

Mrs. Ernest Stralow Rutz, Argyle, died at her home at 5:20 a.m. Sunday after an illness of two years. She was born in Germany Sept. 7, 1877, the daughter of William and Lena Schleter Stralow.
She came to the Argyle area with her parents at the age of eight years and attended rural schools. Her marriage to Ernest Rutz took place in Beliot, Wis., Dec. 26, 1898. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary last year.
Mrs. Rutz was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran church of Rockford. She was the last of her family.
Survivors include the husband; one son, Harry Rutz, Rockford; three daughters, Mrs. Hattie Artz, Belvidere, Mrs. Ida Jones, Argyle, and Mrs. Abbie Pirello, Loves Park; 11 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Atkins-Johnson funeral home by the Rev. Edwin O. Beversdorf of the Redeemer Lutheran church. Burial will be in Reid cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
