MUNCIE - Mary (Pat) Alford, 60 years and 16 days, passed away at Home, Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in Muncie, to join the Lord.
She was born Jan. 1,1943, in McCreary County, Ky., to Oshie and the late Ottis Phillips, grew up in Kentucky and came to Muncie in the early 1980s. She was a homemaker and member of Westside Evangelistic Church.
Left to cherish her memories are two daughters, Bobbie Sue Fultz (husband: Terry Whipple), and Donna Jo Tidwell (husband: Joe), both of Muncie; four grandchildren, Mary Fultz (companion: James Faber), Rebecca Fultz (campanion: Bobby Nealy) and Timothy Rocket (companion: Jennifer Rhodes), all of Muncie, and Matthew Saylor, Connersville; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb and Faith Fultz and Cameron Rocket.
She is also survived by her mother, Oshie Phillips, Muncie; five sisters, Norma Jean Seals, (husband: Bill), Ohio, Sue Belcher (husband: Rodney) and Shirley Bowen (husband: Steve), all of Muncie, Nina Toby Morgan Wachob (husband: William), Anderson, and Shaunda Grubbs (companion: Bill Matthews), Missouri; several nieces and nephews and many friends, including Terri Jester; and special friends, Marty, Jack and Debbie from the Muncie Police Department.
She loved spending time with Caleb and the rest of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Ann Fultz; and her brother, Bobby Gene Coffey.
Services will be at noon Sunday in The Meeks Mortuary Chapel.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary an hour before services on Sunday.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Pine Knot Cemetery in Pine Knot, Ky.
