Nettie was born October 14, 1918 in Catawba co. to the late Charlie and Augusta Hartsoe Schronce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Talmadge Crooks and 2 sisters, Pat & Vader.
She was a member of Winkler's Grove Baptist Church and retired from Whisnant Hosiery.
She is survived by her sons; Robert Lee Crooks and wife, Betty, of Maiden, Nowlin Crooks and wife, Irene of Hildebran, Arland Crooks and wife, Nancy, of Hickory, William P. Crooks and wife, Ellen, of Hickory and Lloyd Crooks and wife, Bobbie, of Hickory; daughters, Patsy Pitts and husband, Darrrell, of Taylorsville and Beverly VanHuss and husband, Forney, of Icard; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday, December 23, at 3:00 P. M. at Winkler's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Faulkenbury and Rev. Dean Hart officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:45 PM – 2:45 P. M. at the church.
