The funeral services for Miss Ada M. Abney occurred here Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the Methodist church with Rev. Harry E. Crane, pastor, officiating.
Miss Abney died at her late home in Kansas City, Mo., Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the age of 53 years, 7 months and 16 days. She was born in Noblesville, Ind.
She was an early-day resident of this place having been engaged in the millinery line, but left here several years ago. While living here she was a member of the M.E. church and was popular among a large circle of friends.
But two members of her family survive her, Mrs. Laura Elam and Mrs. William Abney, both of Kansas City.
The remains were interred in Park Grove cemetery with Mr. J.E. Kennard of the Barth funeral parlors in charge of arrangements.
