Etta Strickland Hayes, 92, resident of 106 Timberwood Rd., widow of C.J. Hayes died June 15, 2004 at NHC of Greenwood.
Born in Johnson City, TN, January 4, 1912, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Julia Brockwell Strickland. She was retired from Nettie Lee Boy & Girl Shop in Johnson City, TN and had made her home in Greenwood since 1980.
Mrs. Hayes was a member of North Side Baptist Church in Greenwood.
Surviving is one daughter, Patricia H. Cook of Greenwood and two grandchildren, Karen M. Cook and Mr. and Mrs. Kevin G. (Glenda) Cook, all of Greenwood. A great-grandchild, Kierstin H. Cook of Greenwood.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, June 17, 2004, at North Side Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Lethco and Rev. Steve Watson officiating.
Burial will be Saturday in Monte Vista Cemetery in Johnson City, TN.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be place in the church at 1:00 PM Thursday.
The family is at the home on Timberwood Rd. and will receive friends at the church from 1:00 till 2:00 Thursday afternoon.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to North Side Baptist Church Building Fund, 409 Northside Dr. W, Greenwood, SC 29649.
