Knaur, who was born Sept. 23, 1890, in Texas, married Ross Wallace Coe, born Oct. 28, 1882, in Armstrong County, PA, died May 23, 1961, in Carter County, OK, son of Samuel G.W. and Margaret Elizabeth Coe. Their son Charles Robert Coe, who was born Oct. 26, 1923, in Carter County was reputed to be the world's greatest amatuer golfer. He won the 1949 and 1958 Amatuer Golf Championships.
