DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- Robert E. "Daddy Bob" Huddleston 84, of Deerfield Beach, FL, formerly of Findlay, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 28th, 2010.
He was born to Hugh and Edna (Judd) Huddleston in Detroit, MI on May 17th, 1926.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Katherine Elizabeth (Sady) Huddleston, Children Paula Ann (Ben) Borden, Pamela Elizabeth (Paul) Kramer, Patrice Miriam (Tim) Hassan, and Robert Joseph Huddleston, Grandchildren: Noel Schuck, Catherine (Michael) Vieira, Andrea Kramer-Fetterman, Leslie (Abe) Kuhlman, Kelli and Raechel Campbell, Paul Richard (Allison) Kramer, Marco and Ashley Huddleston, Great-grandchildren: Damien and Jordan Schuck, Michael and Madison Vieira, Kelsey, Parker and Elizabeth Fetterman, Ellaina and James Kuhlman, and Ella Kramer.
A great-grandson, Brandon Schuck, preceded him in death.
Bob was an honors graduate of Cass Tech High School. He also graduated from the University of Detroit, Detroit, MI, Magna Cum Laude, with degrees in accounting and finance. His career included 30 years with Marathon Oil Company, living in Germany and Italy on executive assignment, and traveling to Texas, Wyoming and Louisiana.
After his retirement, he loved having his children and grandchildren visit him at his home by the ocean, and sharing the beauty of South Florida. He loved camping with his grandchildren and traveling in Europe. He will be remembered for his love of God, Family, Country, and his keen sense of humor.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date in Detroit, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Relief Services, Haiti, in care of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio.
