CLARA I FENSTEMACHER
1925-2006
Clara I. Fenstemacher, a 35 year resident of Nipomo, passed away December 23, 2006 in Santa Maria, California.
Clara was born in Johnson City, New York to John and Erma Brigham.
Clara was raised and educated in New York. She attended Cornell University for 2 years before taking employment with IBM.
Clara married Richard A. Fenstemacher in 1950 and resided in New York for five years before moving to California in 1955. Clara and Richard lived in Monterey, San Jose and Diamond Bar before moving to Nipomo in 1971.
Clara was employed as a bank teller for over 35 years with Bank of America until retiring in 1991. Clara loved needle work, crafts, cooking, baking. She loved to swim and shared her husbands love of horses.
Clara is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Grace and Victor Verduzco of Santa Maria, son, Ron Fenstemacher of Hawaii, grandsons, Aaron and Adam Verduzco both of Santa Maria, granddaughter, Luana Fenstemacher of Hawaii, sister, Grace Clark of Johnson City, New York, brother, Karl Brigham of Apalachin, New York, several nieces and nephews.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Alton "Dick" Fenstemacher who died May 20, 2000.
At Clara's request, there will be no formal services. Cremation was requested with private inurnment in the Memory Gardens of the Dudley-Hoffman Columbarium
In lieu of flowers contributions in Clara's memory may be made to the Central Coast SPCA, P.O. Box 2952, Orcutt, CA 93457 or Marian Home Care Hospice, 504 E. Plaza Dr., Santa Maria, CA 93454
