Last Rites For James F. Baird

Funeral services for James Franklin Baird, 67, of Arp were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Arp with the Rev. Leroy Pattillo officiating.

Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery of Arp under the direction of Forester Funeral Home of Troup.

Mr. Baird died at 12:05 a.m. Saturday in an Overton hospital after a short illness.

He retired two years ago from the pipeline department of Sinclair Oil Company after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, lifetime resident of the Arp area.

Survivors include one son, Billy Baird of Hobbs, N.M.; one daughter, Mrs. J. R. Sherman of Tulsa, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Hirman Perkins, Hugh Anderson, Mills Parker, Charles Mullican, Floyd Littlepage, Loys Arnold and R. H. Hendry.
