They had 15 children - Margrieta, Cornelius (who only live a couple months), then another Cornelius (who only live about one month), Nellie, Martena, Cornelius (Neal), John William, Jozena, Albertha, Albert, William, Gysbertha (Grace), Antonie (Tony), Gertrude, Anne Clara.
Antonie and Geertje made their living by farming, making molasses, and had a smoke house. They smoked pork for extra income. They grew mostly corn and oats, and raised cows, chickens and ducks. They also had a large garden and an orchard that contained apples, peaches, pears, and grapes.
Their farm is a Century farm since it has been in the family for over 100 years.
