Carmen was born in Killeen, Texas, to the late Ted Homer and Karolina (Hertel) Wright. For 18 years she worked as a clerk for Justices of the Peace Robert Stubblefield and Bill Cooke. She was quite the social butterfly and was loved by her family and friends.
Carmen is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney.
Survivors include her daughters, Nichole Smith and husband, Byron, and Brittney Thompson and husband, Jimmy; brothers, Clifford and Jimmy Wright; granddaughters, Taylor Smith, Kara Ford, Kendall Thompson, and Lauren Thompson; grandsons, Jayson Ford and Quinton Ford; sister, Barbara Turner; and other relatives and many friends.
