Born in Fountain Green, Utah to William Henry and Ruth Thomas Johnson, November 30, 1923. Married Gloyd Dale Anderson, November 18, 1946 in Elko, Nevada; later solemnized in the Manti Temple, June 17, 1954. They had just celebrated their 66th Anniversary. They raised 5 children in their home in Magna.
Alice worked for the parachute plant in Manti, Utah during WWII. Proud member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and held numerous positions in the church. Served in the PTA, and was a member of the Good Sams Club. Attended Magna Sr. Center. She enjoyed genealogy, photography (including home movies) and handicrafts, which she shared with her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel for many years, especially to Yuma, Arizona after Gloyd's retirement. Alice also loved going to the Sheep Herd during the '30s, '40s, and '50s with her family.
She is survived by her husband; children, Dee (Cheryl), Joy (Bill) Christensen, Kent, William; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and sister, Ida Overson.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary and brothers, Thomas and Eldon.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20th, 1:30 p.m. at the Magna Stake Center, 3084 So. 8400 W. with a viewing 1 ½ hours prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the March of Dimes .
The family also thanks Debra, Brenda, Jamie, Heather, Dana, Rochelle, Zanida and staff of Harmony Home Health and Hospice for the loving care they gave to Alice.
