1848. MARY EMELY LOMAX, daughter of Anna Shank and her husband Capt. John Lomax, was born in Adams County, Ill., Aug. 12, A.D. 1848, and married John K. Callahan, Feb. 20, A.D. 1873. Address, Denison, Tex. Their children are--
Harry Arthur Callahan, born about A.D. 1874.
Anna Bessie Callahan, " " " 1876.
Robert Lomax Callahan, " " " 1878.
James Howard Callahan, " " " 1880.
Jack Callahan, " " " 1882; died young.
Grace Agnes Callahan, " " " 1884; " ". The mother descends from Thomas Lomax, the Englishman, who settled in Seier County, Tenn.

vii. Edith Callahan. Her lineage is uncertain. The only known reference to her is in the June 1913 Laclede Blade, saying that she was a niece of James W. Lomax and was visiting him from Denison, TX.
