Grover C. Harrison, Jr., a resident of Port Allen, died on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at age 65.
Visitation will be held at Grant's Westside Funeral Services, and again at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 950 7th Street, Port Allen, Louisiana, until religious services, conducted by Rev. Raymond Allen. Burial will be at the Old Folk Cemetery, Avenue A, Port Allen.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Grover C. Harrison, III (Kelli) of Plaquemine, and Justin Montauge of Baton Rouge; one brother, Darrow Harrison of Baton Rouge; step-father, Edward Knighten, Sr. of Port Allen; three grandchildren, Grover, Hayleigh and Sidney; nephew, Darrion Harrison; adopted daughter, Hazel LaBode; and devoted ex-wife and friend, Lillie Harrison; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Harrison Knighten; father, Grover Harrison, Sr., and second mom, Earnestine Atkins.
