Etta Henrietta Morton, daughter of Richard
and Susan M. Morton was born on October
13, 1872 at Frankfort, Kansas and died at
her home in Salina, Kansas on May 25,
1916 at the age of 43 years, 7 months and
14 days.

She was married to John C. Cook of
Carniero, Kansas on December 25,
1899. To this union was born two
children John Richard and Ida Alice.

She was a member of the Methodist
Episcopal church since the age of 13 and
a faithful member until her death.

After he marriage to Mr. Cook they lived
in Marshall county, Kansas for twelve
years, when they moved to Rodgers,
Benton county, Arkansas, where they lived
for 4 years, then they moved to Salina,
Kansas, a year ago, where she lived at the
time of her death.

She leaves her husband and two children
in Salina, Kansas; one brother in the
Philippine Islands. Her parents and one
sister have preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at the M.E.
Church in Frankfort on Tuesday, May
30 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend J.L. Boett-
oher officiating.

Interment was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
