I AM FREE
Don't grieve for me,
for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day, to laugh,
to love, to work or play.
Tasks undone must stay that way
I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If parting has left a void, then fill it
with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times,
a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all to brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me,
God wants me now, He set me free.

AS I SIT IN HEAVEN

As I sit in Heaven, and watch you everyday
I try and let you know with signs, I never went away.
I hear you when your laughing, and I watch you as you sleep.
I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home.
So I try to send you signs, so you know you're not alone.
Don't feel guilty that you have life, that was denied to me.
Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see!
So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free.
Then I'll know with every breath you take,
you'll be taking one for me!
