After the death of her sister, Sophenia Garrott Wright, in very early 1885, Josephine married her brother-in-law, William B. Wright on 24 May 1885.

In her will, Sophenia mentions her sister, Josephine who "has lived with me for years and been of great service and comfort".

On the 1900 Tate Co, MS Census, William, Josephine and three children by his first marriage are listed.

On the 1910 Tate Co, MS Census, William is widowed.

Therefore, Josephine died between 1900 and 1910.

Living only a short distance from the Garrott family cemetery, it is almost certain that she was buried in a now unmarked grave in this cemetey.
