Imogene Anderson, 91, of Scottsbluff, died in Scottsbluff, Dec. 9, 2012. Memorial services will be Dec. 14.Inurnment will be held in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Imogene Anderson was born in Burton, Neb. Sept. 13, 1921, the daughter of Eddie LeRoy and Flora May (Trumbull) Gulick. At and early age she moved with her family to her Grandfathers farm near Harrisburg. In 1935 the family moved to the Kirk Community in Banner County where she finished her 7th and 8th grade years of school. Imogene attended the Banner County High School and graduated in 1939. On Oct. 5, 1940 she was married Ralph Anderson at the parsonage of Reverend Peterson, who was the pastor of Swedish Mission Covenant Church. They moved to Ft. Collins, Colo where Ralph worked for United Airlines for a short time. They moved back to the family farm where their son David Ralph Anderson was born Dec. 29, 1943. Imogene and Ralph continued to farm until February of 1993 when they moved to the Residency in Scottsbluff. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Kimball and helped organize the Kimball Hospital Auxiliary. After moving to Scottsbluff she joined the Calvary Lutheran Church. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Judy Anderson of Kimball; grandsons, Mike (Heidi) Anderson of Banner County, and Mark (Tiffani) Anderson of Kimball; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Meighan, Keirsten, and Trevor; sisters, Maxine Lanning of Pine Bluffs, Wyo., Glenna Streeks of Gering, Janice (JW) Snyder of Banner County, and Janett (Harold) Connour of Cheyenne, Wyo.; sister-in-law, Ella Mae Cederberg of Kimball and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Imogene in death were her parents; husband; son David; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bill Olsen; brother-in-law, Melvin Lanning, Bill Streeks, Roger Cederberg; brother and sister-in-law, Alden and Evelyn Anderson.
