From self published book, Nov 20, 1910; PERSONAL RECOLLECTIONS
Of W.J.Knox, a Civil War veteran from Morgan County, buried in Brooklyn Cemetery at top of hill with historical marker. See pages 95 & 96.

Speaking to Captain Peter Fesler , James Terhune said: "Captain I feel I'm goin' be killed today, and I want you to see to my affairs here and at home, and tell ,my wife and children all about it". The captain said to him; "Jim if you have such feeling as those I will excuse you and have you go to the rear." "I will not do that, "said Jim. "Did you ever hear of persons having such premonitions?" "Yes but I don't much believe in it" Just then a ball stuck him in the eye and he fell at his feet and died without a struggle.
