Beatrice (Bea) Champion, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Dec. 9, 2012, at the age of 93. She was born on Dec. 8, 1919 in Timpson, TX to Sidney Alfred Connell and Evie Harris Connell, she was raised by her grandparents, Dolly and Joseph Harris.

In 1937, she married Buford Buron Champion; they were married for 58 years when he passed away in 1995.

She leaves behind her three children, Jan (Richard) Whatley, Jerry (Nancy) Champion, and Martha (Jerry) Clark. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Jason (Tonya) Whatley, Amanda (Mance) Cutbirth, O'Neal Champion, Kelli (John) Rozypal, Steve (Laurie) Clark, Barry (Janice) Clark, Richard (Stephanie) Clark, and eighteen great grandchildren.

We wish to thank the staff at the Waterford, for all their kind acts. We also thank her caregivers Patricia, Emma, Jonathon, Jamie and Kelsey for their loving kindness.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Funeral Service that same day at 2:00 P.M. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
