Elaine B. Alexander, 89, of Coatesville, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of James F. Alexander, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2011.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Winfield and Viola Richard Benner.
Elaine was a 1941 graduate of Coatesville High School. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, the Bible Study Group and a past president of the Lutheran Church Women. She also was a member of the Caln Civic Club and the Coatesville Senior Center.
Surviving her is a son, James F. Alexander, III, husband of Sue; a sister, Jane B. Willard; and two granddaughters, Laura and Maria.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville.
Family and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
