Robert Gerald Hawk was the son of Homer Wilbur Hawk (1903-1951) and Viola Bell Holtzfield Hawk (1896-?). He served in the U.S. Navy in Korea. He was the half-brother to Lloyd Elmer Hawk who also served in WWII and Korea and is buried in Riverside National Cemetery. He was the half-brother to Edwin Harry Schubach and Viola C. Schubach Smith. Edwin Harry Schubach (24 Sep 1920-30 Oct 1992) also served in WWII.
