John K. Herbig of Reservoir Road, Goshen, a retired banquet waiter for the New York Hilton Hotel, New York City, and a five year area resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Orange County Home & Infirmary, Goshen. He was 78.
The son of the late Kilian and Anna Baum Herbig, he was born Feb, 2, 1912, in Astoria. Mr, Herbig was a member of the New York Hotel Trades Union.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Tibbitt Herbig at home; two sons, John Herbig of Reseda, Calif. And Kennth Herbig of Goshen; one sister, Anna McCann of West New York, N,J.; and four grandchildren,
There will be no visitation.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
