Grace was born to Edward Warren Joyce (1891 - 1952) and Grace (Fitzgibbons - 1894 - 1982) in Newton Center, MA. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, graduating in 1939. She served in the military from 1943 - 1946 with an honorable discharge.
She moved to Los Angeles where she began working for Fox Movie Studios until about 1950, when she moved to Fairbanks Alaska and met her husband, my father, Ralph. They then moved to Princeton, MN in 1953 via the Alcan Highway and where they settled for nine years; had three children (two of whom were adopted.)
