Shirley Jean Moon Checksfield, 75, formerly of East Syracuse, died Monday at Loretto. She was born in Syracuse. She was a home health aide. She was a member of First United Church of East Syracuse and Arthur Butler Post 359 American Legion Auxiliary. Her husband, Albert E. II, died in 1966; a son, Albert E. III, died in 1968. Survivors: Two sons, of Syracuse; three grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Delaney & Greabell Funeral Home. Burial, White Chapel Memory Gardens.
