Athens — Services for Holly Lynn Baldwin, 45, LaRue, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday in New York Baptist Church with Rev. Olin Bowles and Rev. Joshua Wilken officiating.

Burial will follow in New York Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.

Holly passed away Dec. 3, 2012 in Tyler after a valiant fight with cancer.

She was born April 29, 1967 in Athens, and resided in the New York Community most of her life, and attended LaRue Baptist Church.

Following graduation from Brownsboro High School, Holly earned her Associates degree at Trinity Valley Community College, and a Bachelor's degree at University of Texas at Tyler. She was a loyal and dedicated teacher for 22 years at LaPoynor Independent School District, and loved all of her second and third grade students and fellow teachers.

Holly loved spending time with her family and anything outdoors, such as hunting and fishing, as well as vacationing, shopping and going out with her friends.

She was preceded in death by grandparents J. N. and Fay Cockerham, Canton, Clark and Opal Howeth, LaRue.

Holly is survived by her husband Heath Baldwin, LaRue, children Tanner Burch and Cade Baldwin, LaRue, parents Larry and Judy Howeth, LaRue, brother Tandy Howeth and wife Jill, Palmer, and nephews Cole and Lane Howeth, Palmer.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Allen, Marvin Miller, Neill Gray, Derek Cockerham, Mike Baldwin and Jake Foster.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Howeth, Lane Howeth, Bill Mayes, Kenneth Gauntt, John Brindley, Jared Cockerham, Mark Baldwin and John Ellison.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
