G, 124th Infantry, on September 5, 1862; commissioned as a second lieutenant on May 26, 1863, with rank from February 25, 1863, vice D. Gibbs resigned; wounded in action while in command of Co. G on June 16, 1864, before Petersburg, Va.; promoted to first lieutenant on January 1, 1865, with rank from January 1, 1865; mustered out with company on June 3, 1865, near Washington, DC.
