"Doctors attending Max Baer, Placerville clothier, reported Tuesday noon that Mr. Baer underwent an operation Tuesday morning and that his condition following the operation is satisfactory. It was suggested that it will be several days before Mr. Baer will be well enough to receive visitors. His condition continues to improve it was reportes Thursday."
Mr. Baer immigrated to this country in 1890, he became a naturalized citizen.
He married Edith Bennett Oct 7, 1912, had daughters, Maxine about 1913 and Helen about 1917.
