Agnes Poor Beach was born April 22, 1916 in Pendleton Co., KY and passed away December 2, 2012 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 96. On Sept. 13, 1940 she was united in marriage to Earnest Beach who preceded her in death in 1975. Agnes was a long time member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church where she was a former church secretary and Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Grant Co. Historical Society and the Dry Ridge Homemakers. She was a former office assistant for Boehmer Paint Co. and Kentucky Farm Bureau, Grant. Co. She was widely known as "The Doll Lady" for having refurbished and donated more than 5000 dolls to needy children since 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Agnes Johnson of Leitchfield, KY; a sister: Helen Ammerman of Williamstown, KY; a sister-in-law: Margaret Poor of Williamstown, KY; three grandchildren: Steve Givan of Plainfield, IL, Lisa Skaggs of Leitchfield, KY, and Jason Roberts of Bowling Green, KY; six great grandsons: Robert Skaggs of Lexington, Lincoln Skaggs of Richmond, Bennett and Wyatt Skaggs of Leitchfield, Spencer Givan of Plainfield, IL, and Will Roberts of Bowling Green. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 6 at 1:00 PM at the Dry Ridge Baptist Church, 19 Broadway, Dry Ridge, KY 41035 with visitation after 12:00 Noon at the church. A visitation will also be Wednesday from 4:00 - 9:00 PM at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. The burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
