Dorothy attended the old "Liberty School" in the 1930's. She had worked at the Downtown HEB and the old Town and Country Model Market supermarket until it went out of business. She continued to work part time into her late 70's as a Demonstrator of products in local supermarkets.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene F. King Sr., to whom she was happily married for 41 years, and brother, Clarence Atzenhoffer.
She is survived by her sons, Richard L. King Sr. and wife, Patsy and Eugene F. (Bubba) King, Jr. and wife Judy, all of Victoria.
Dorothy is also survived by six grandchildren, Dr. Deanne King and husband, Dr. Mike Key of Little Rock, AR, and Richard L. (Rick) King Jr. and wife, Laura of Victoria, MSgt Michael R. King of Charleston, SC, Becky J. Scott and husband, Clint of League City, TX, John G. King and wife, Kristine of Victoria, and Judith Moyers and husband, Jeremiah, of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; Matthew King, Aubrey King, Rachel Key, Andrew Scott, Megan Scott, Myah Moyers, and Judah Moyers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 5:00pm to 7: 00pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:00am at the Rosewood Chapel with Pastor Les Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her beloved grandchildren, Dr. Deanne King, Rick King, Becky Scott, Clint Scott, John King, and Jeremiah Moyers. Honorary Pallbearer is MSgt Michael King and Ronald D. Morris.
