On the U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedule, Rock Island County, Illinois, Jane Ewert, age 18, died from "Ship Fever". She had been ill for 6 days. Above her name on the Mortality Schedule is James Campbell. It does not say that she and James are married, in Homestead Cemetery, Coal Valley, Illinois, on the Warnock family tombstone's back side, there is a David and James Campbell, along with Jane Ewart. There is also a small round tombstone next to the large one where the top has "J. Campbell" and on the front has "J. Ewart".

James,age 30, died on May 11th, 1850, and Jane Ewart, died the next day.
