Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mae Duke Rice, age 102 of Lineville, AL were held Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. Zenus Windsor, Bro. Terry Rowell and Bro. Jerry Edge officiating. Burial followed in Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Rice passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at her home.
A native and lifelong resident of Clay County, she graduated from Clay County High School and attended Alverson - Draughon Business College. Mrs. Rice then went on to pursue a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and received her certification after completion of her schooling and internship in Gadsden and Anniston. She worked in the Lineville Nursing Facility and retired after over 30 years of service.
