Mrs. Rebecca Adams, who had been ill for
the last couple of weeks passed away at her
home in Frankfort, Kansas on Thursday,
January 31, 1946 at the age of 82 years,
4 months and 26 days.
Mrs. Adams was born in Keokuk County,
Iowa, on October 5, 1863, the daughter of
William and Elizabeth Cranston. She came
to Marshall County in 1881 as the bride of
Joseph Franklin Adams, and they settled
west of Frankfort, Mr. Adams preceded
her in death about 25 years ago.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Methodist
Church and took an active part in the
organizations of the church. She was a kind
neighbor and enjoyed a large circle of friends
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Dalton,
who gave her constant care during her illness
Mrs. Adams is survived by two sisters, Mrs.
Eunice Adams, Blue Rapids, Kansas and
Mrs. Florence Ada Tyler, Osawatomie,
Kansas and two grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at O.L. Dalton
home on Sunday afternoon with Reverend
R.G. Anderson assisted by Reverend A.M.
McInnis.
Interment was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
