Mickey, 82, of Gooding, formally of the Lyman area near Rexburg, passed away, Tuesday June 19, 2007, at Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls, due to an extended illness and incident to age.

She was born June 10, 1925 in San Antonio to William Vernon McCoy and Lillian Bertha Brockway. She had a twin brother Larry McCoy, who proceeded her in death.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many positions. In her early teenage years, she worked as a cook and waitress in different cities across the United States. While living in Los Angeles she met and fill in love with Tom Lake Atkinson. They were married July 24, 1961 in Los Angeles. Two sons were given to this union.

They lived in the Lymon area most of their married life, the in 1991 moved to Gooding. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing electronic pocket games, her cat "Angel" and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Her husband, Tom, her twin brother, Larry, and her mother and father proceeded her in death. Survivors include her son Randall Atkinson (fiance Darlene Lopchuck)of Gooding, son Vernon (Lana) Atkinson, of Rexburg, grandchildren, Colby, Caden, and Caylee Atkinson,of Rexburg, special nephew and niece Steve (LeAnn) Sutton of Rexburg, many brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
