Margaret Josephine was born on Oct. 21, 1894 in Cleveland, Ohio and was the second of nine children of Frank and Eva. She had siblings Joe, Allen, Isabel, George, Gladys & John. Francis died as a baby. She was known as Daisy most of her life.
Daisy was 29 when she was married to James "Ed" Berigan on Aug. 30, 1923 at St. Rose Church in Cleveland by Rev. James Stewart. They had two children listed above.
She and Ed raised their children in her parents's home at 1365 E. 90th St., Cleveland and later moved to Theota Ave. in Parma.
Daisy and Ed were married for 34 years when Ed passed away at home on Nov. 5, 1957 at age 64 from stomach cancer and is buried at Calvary Cemetery.
Daisy was a secretary for Railroad Express in Cleveland for 30 years before working for the City of Cleveland for 10 years.
Daisy spent her later years living with sisters Isabel, Gladys and Mary at a mobile home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and then with her daughter Jan in Willoughby Hills, Ohio.
Daisy was 92 years old when she died Feb. 18, 1986 from heart failure at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Euclid and is buried at All Soul's Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio, Sec. 30, Lot 3229. At her death, she had seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Daisy was 5'4" tall with brown hair and blue eyes. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and playing cards and knew all the family history.
