Mrs. Sarah Frances Newlin Anthony, 87, died at her home on Route 6, Burlington, this morning at 12:20 o'clock after several years of failing health and 13 weeks of critical illness.

She was a native of Chatham County, the daughter of the late Jonathan and Talitha Geanes Newlin. She had been a member of Graham Friends Church for the past 58 years.

Surviving are her husband, John Anthony; three daughters, Mrs. Flora Mansfield of Route 6, Burlington, Mrs. Lizzie Greeson of Route 2, Graham, and Mrs. Frances Whitesell of Route 6, Greensboro; five sons, Layton E. Anthony of Burlington, Thomas A. Anthony of Durham, John W. Anthony and James K. Anthony of Route 6, Burlington, and Isaac N. Anthony of Detroit, Mich.; one half-sister, Mrs. Della McBane of Route 2, Chapel Hill; 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at Graham Friends Church. Rev. James Marion, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Rev. John M. Permar, a former pastor. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Graham.

The body was taken to the home this afternoon at 5 o'clock to remain until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.

Final rites for Mrs. Sarah Frances Newlin Anthony, 87, of Route 6, Burlington, were held yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Graham Friends Church. Mrs. Anthony died Tuesday.

Rev. James Marion, pastor of the church, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. John M. Permar, a former pastor. Music was by a duet composed of Rev. and Mrs. Permer, with Henry Easley as organist. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery in Graham.

Pallbearers were Ladd Anthony, Blake Anthony, Marshall Anthony, Taylor Anthony, Wayne Greeson and Ed Greeson.

Mrs. C. C. Gee and Mrs. Glen McPherson were in charge of floral arrangements, assisted by Mesdames Virginia Poe, Treva Gilbert, Betty A. DeWeese, Ernestine Anthony, Thomasene Neal, Georgia Anthony, Margaret Parker, Marshall Anthony, Gladys Greeson, Clyde Boggs, Laird Anthony, Fannie Greeson, Sarah Newlin, Alice Raevels, Tommy Raevels and Misses Malinda Anthony, Janie Parker and Jeanette Anthony.
