His family includes his wife of over 49 years, Verna Bolibaugh of Beacon; a daughter, Becky(Jeff)Leu of Ottumwa; two sons, Wade(Noelle)Bolibaugh and Grant Bolibaugh, Waylon Bolibaugh, and Vivian Bolibaugh; a sister, Alice(John)DeRooi of Grinnell; a brother, Paul(Marie)Bolibaugh of Ottumwa; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother and sister in law, Richard and Ladonna Bolibaught.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2012, at 2 pm in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverends David Pinkerton and David Childers officiating. Military honors will be given by members of the Oskaloosa American Legion and V.F.W. As a final act of kindness and generosity Don has deeded his body to the University of Iowa for medical research. Open visitation will begin Sunday after 1 pm and continue until 3 pm in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa. The family will be at the funeral chapel from 12 noon on Monday until service time at 2 pm to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to Mahaska County Relay for Life.
